Just a fisherman

Fishing is a lifestyle.

Fishing is one of my favourite hobbies these days but it seems that others have simply forgot all about this very popular method of relaxation, is it a sport? is it therapy? is it a perfect for socializing? or is just for some alone time?

No one really knows where fishing really fits but it can be best summed up as a lifestyle because there are many aspects to this sport and it's able to be diverse in its features and the great thing about it is that it often doesn't take that much money to actually get started unlike other sports that can cost a fair amount of money to start playing because of the equipment costs.

Fishing gear is actually getting much cheaper to buy thanks to online retailers, you can browse for products at sites like www.northeasttackle.co.uk or www.dansononline.co.uk if you want to pick up some gear at a discounted price, the internet also allows us all to get together and share tips on message boards and even on Facebook groups which allows us all to pitch in our ideas and share product reviews.

One great thing about social media is the ability to share photos of our latest catches with all our real life friends and the online fishing community which is great and has turned fishing into more of a competition, it great that people share advice online because it makes for interesting debates which you normally can't have with others who are just not as in to fishing as you are.

I think the internet has been a savour for the lifestyle of fishing and it's exposing more and more young people to the benefits of taking the day off and casting off early, I find it a very relaxing use of my time and recently I've been heading out more with my friend who owns a small fishing boat, it's been a fun few months on the open water.
